Sino Global Capital to Foster Web3 Advancement in India with Launch of SGC India
We are excited to host SGC India Demo Day in celebration of SGC India, our newly launched regional arm, that focuses on fostering the growth of the Web3 community in India. India is a key market for SGC with its young, vibrant and rapidly growing ecosystem of creator and developer talent.
We dug deep into the Indian market in our India thesis giving you a deep insight into our reasons behind being bullish on the Indian Web3 Ecosystem. Along with being one of the fastest growing economies, India has a strong developer pool of 5.8 million which makes it a hub of innovation and development. The Web3 community in India has also been one of the earliest in the sector and it has already achieved milestones in terms of adoption with numerous innovations being churned out of the sector consistently. With a growing talent pool, young tech native demographics and growing digital infrastructure, India is on the verge of emerging as a leader in the Web3 space.
In the recent past we have been part of multiple initiatives such as the GirlScript Foundation’s Web3Bootcamp, PolygonLEAP 2021 Accelerator, and have hosted multiple meetups across the country. To celebrate our journey, presence and aim to be a facilitator in the Indian ecosystem we have partnered with Web3 incubator platform Buidlers Tribe as our ecosystem partner, community-driven developer network Devfolio as our event partner, and FTX Ventures as our venture partner as we launch our first-ever SGC India Demo Day!
This initiative is open to all Web3 startups, founders, and developers with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a passion for Web3 creation. Additionally, participating startups stand a chance to win from a grand pool of $2M+ in funding, based on due diligence and investment thesis fit, and up to $50K in grants by Buidlers Tribe.
SGC India Demo Day is a track agnostic program aimed at nurturing all kinds of visionary problem-solving Web3 solutions and equipping them with the right knowledge, guidance, ecosystem, and marketing support through the course of the program.
Furthermore, the final shortlisted startups will get to showcase their product offerings live in an in-person Demo Day to be held on September 4th in Bengaluru, India.
SGC India aims to be a facilitator and catalyst in the Indian web3 ecosystem by providing opportunities and an enabling environment to help nurture talent, ideas, web3 founders, developers, entrepreneurs and budding startups.
